This tutorial will be covering how to flush DNS cache settings on your desktop computer or laptop.  Flushing the DNS cache on your computer will help load websites that you may not have been able to access before. This may have been due to some DNS issues or your computer having the incorrect DNS settings cached. 

How to Flush DNS cache in Windows

1. On your Keyboard, at the same time press the Windows Logo key + R to launch the Windows Run box

    

2. Inside the Windows Run Box type cmd and hit Ok

3. After the cmd window opens, you will want to type in the following command: ipconfig/flushdns

4. Now you will want to wait patiently while the DNS cache is being flushed, after the DNS cache is flushed you are all done! 

How to Flush DNS cache in Mac OS X

1. Click on the spotlight search button at the top right of your screen, then a popup will appear 

2. Inside the Spotlight Search popup search for Terminal and then open it. 

3. Once terminal opens, use one of the following commands below:

For OS X Yosemite v10.10.4 use command " sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder "

For OS X Yosemite v10.10 through v10.10.3 use command " sudo discoveryutil mdnsflushcache "

4.  After you have entered the commands, you will most likey recieve a warning requesting you to eneter your password for preform this. Go ahead and enter your password to continue. 

5. Once you have entered your password, simply wait for your Mac to flush your DNS and then you are all set!
